Mother's Day is just around the corner! To celebrate, we've teamed up with a few of our friends to bring you the chance to win a prize package filled with products invented by moms. Learn more about the prizes and what inspired each of these moms to launch their businesses below.
Valued over $350, our "Mom-Invented" Prize Package includes:
Poncho Baby's award-winning and patented nursing cover with flexible neckline to easily allow mom to see baby while providing full back coverage. Made in the USA with soft 100% cotton muslin imported. Multifunctional – stroller cover, blanket or more. Machine wash and dry. Two inside pockets. (Retail Value $38)
Poncho Baby's founder, Carolina Toro-Gerstein was inspired by the challenge of breastfeeding. Breastfeeding was more difficult than she'd imagined and she wanted privacy during these intimate sessions with her daughters. Inspired by her Colombian roots, she began sketching product designs and talking to other moms and breastfeeding advocates about how to best support women. Learn more about how she got started here.
A super soft, thick, and cozy Tekhni Throw. This generously sized throw blanket is the perfect way to snuggle up! (Retail Value $98)
Born in 2013, Tekhni is the culmination of art, design and babywearing. Founded by Alisa DeMarco, a babywearing mom, painter, graphic designer, dye artist and textile designer. Alisa found comfort in the cloths she used to carry her own children and want to share this love with others. Based in the Chicago area, she creates wraparound slings and accessories from the finest resources, finished by hand in Grayslake, Illinois by Tekhni’s local seamstresses. Alisa shares her full story here.
Big Bee Little Bee's brand new Scrubbee Body Brush and ingenious Snow Angel padded bath towel. Anyone who has tried to soothe an infant after removing her from a warm bath will appreciate the Snow Angel bath towel. (Retail Value $37.98)
The brain child of Amy Leinbach, the Snow Angel was the result of Amy's desire to find a baby bath towel with cushioning and a little more fabric to keep baby warm. Although she could not sew, she played with different cuts until she found the one that made the most sense. She shares her story here.
Bets & Emy was founded by Emily Frazer, CPSM three years after her son Archie was born. From his newborn days, Archie had very sensitive skin and frequently had trouble with diaper rash. When Emily discovered how many chemicals were in her baby wipes—even the “natural, fragrance free” baby wipes —she started to suspect they were part of the problem and began her search for something better. After many months of sampling and testing, in August of 2016, Emily’s first sample run of 1,000 baby wipe packs was a success.
