The Georgia Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their first annual two-day competition for student entrepreneurs in Atlanta on April 3-4, and our very own founder, Janelle Fitzpatrick, has been asked to sit on the panel of judges.

The Georgia InVenture Prize aims to highlight the state’s top students demonstrating entrepreneurial potential and ambition. Teams from 19 colleges across the state were chosen to compete. Each team of students will present their innovative business solution to a panel of judges, and the winning team will take home the “Georgia InVenture Prize Cup” to display on their institution’s campus for a year.

American Made Stair GatesAs inventor of The Stair Barrier and founder of Better Options Company, Janelle (pictured left with the owner and floor manager of our manufacturing facility) is honored to join a panel of highly qualified judges alongside Lonnie Johnson, inventor of Super Soaker, and Tiffany Krumins, founder of MomGenius. Mark Curry, American actor, comedian, and host, is set to host the competition.

And you can tune in, too! The competition will broadcast live from Georgia Public Broadcasting. Tune in here for this exciting, landmark event that highlights the leaders, inventors, and problem solvers of the rising generation.
